His contention that SE Asia has been demonstrating an ability to successfully fuse national identity with architecture and urban design is right on the mark: "In KL itself, the Malaysians have created one of the great urban spaces with KL Sentral. The twin towers of Caesar Pelli give landmark status to the scheme and an identity to the country as a whole".
